Lonnig

Lonnig lies on the edge of the Nassau Nature Park and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The town itself is known for its historic buildings, including the 18th-century St. Anna Chapel and the 12th-century Bürresheim Castle.

Visitors can also visit the nearby Laacher See, a volcanic crater lake with crystal-clear water and numerous hiking and cycling trails along its shoreline.

For cultural highlights, we recommend a visit to the Burg Linnich Museum or a guided tour of the Maria Laach Monastery. For music lovers, a concert in the Rhein-Mosel-Halle is a must.

Culinary Lonnig has a lot to offer - be sure to try our regional specialities such as onion tart or potato soup with grilled sausage.

Outdoor activities are possible here all year round - hike along one of the many trails through the Nassau Nature Park or go swimming in the Laacher See in summer. In winter, skiers can enjoy the slopes around the Nürburgring.
