Discover the region

Leipheim lies on the banks of the Danube and is surrounded by picturesque forests. The town has a long history as an important trading centre on the Danube. Today, Leipheim offers its visitors many opportunities for relaxation and recreation.

One of the best-known highlights in Leipheim is the Legoland Deutschland Resort - an amusement park with many attractions for children of all ages. The park is also home to the SEA LIFE Aquarium, where you can discover fascinating sea creatures.

Culturally interested people should not miss a visit to Großlaupheim Castle - it was built in the 16th century and today serves as a museum for art and cultural history. The 18th century parish church of St. Vitus is also worth a visit.

For culinary delights, we recommend a visit to a traditional beer garden or a rustic restaurant - here you can enjoy regional specialities such as Maultaschen or Spätzle.

In summer, there are numerous outdoor activities on offer: Hiking through the forests around Leipheim or cycling on the well-developed cycle paths along the Danube are popular with residents and tourists alike. Those who enjoy water sports can have fun on the Danube in a canoe or kayak. In winter, you can explore the snow-covered landscape on a snowshoe hike.

Even when it rains, there is plenty to do in Leipheim - visit the indoor swimming pool "Aquamarin" or relax in one of the saunas. In the town centre you will also find a cinema and a bowling alley.

Leipheim is worth a visit at any time of year. It is especially beautiful in spring, when nature awakens and everything is green and in bloom. But also in autumn the surroundings of Leipheim offer a breathtaking sight with its colourful colours. We hope that this travel guide has helped you to plan your next trip to Leipheim!

Bin Ende Oktober 21 hier gewesen.
