Geographically, Landkern is located on the edge of the Eifel Mountains, surrounded by picturesque forests and rivers. The region is particularly appealing for hiking and cycling tours through the idyllic nature. If you are looking for outdoor activities, then you should definitely explore the famous dream trail "Lead and Silver Trail" or take a canoe trip on the nearby Moselle River.

Landkern also has a lot to offer culturally: The Stifts-Museum Kloster Maria Martental houses an impressive collection of religious artworks from different eras. Another highlight is Eltz Castle, a medieval fortress from the 12th century with a fascinating history.

For gourmets, the region also offers culinary specialities such as the famous Moselle wine as well as regional specialities such as onion tart or Hunsrück spit roast.

If it rains, you can take a trip to the thermal baths in Bad Bertrich or visit one of the numerous museums, for example the Museum of Local History in Cochem-Zell.

The best time to visit Landkern depends largely on what activities you are planning: In spring and summer it is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or canoeing. In autumn, you can experience the grape harvest in the surrounding vineyards and in winter, a romantic snow hike is a great option.

No matter what time of year - Landkern, Cochem-Zell is definitely worth a visit! Visit this charming town and let yourself be enchanted by its unique combination of nature, culture and culinary delights. As a travel guide, we also recommend a side trip to Koblenz or Trier - two other historic towns near Landkern.

Naturerlebnis pur in allen Belangen.
