Discover the region

Geographical location and special features: Kruft lies on the edge of the Eifel Mountains and is surrounded by picturesque hills. The town is known for its idyllic landscape with numerous hiking and cycling trails as well as the impressive volcanic maars, which were once created by volcanic eruptions.

Tourist attractions: An absolute highlight is the Meurin Roman mine, where you can delve deep into the history of Roman mining. Bürresheim Castle from the 12th century also delights with its architecture and historical charm.

Cultural highlights and events: The annual town festival in summer attracts many visitors - here you can enjoy music, dancing and culinary delights. The Lissingen Castle Museum also shows interesting exhibitions on regional art history.

Culinary specialities: Be sure to try the traditional Eifel cuisine! This includes hearty dishes such as Rhenish Sauerbraten or potato pancakes with apple sauce. This goes perfectly with a glass of wine from the nearby Moselle region.

Outdoor activities: The best season for outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling is from spring to autumn. Tours around the Maare or along the Moselle are recommended. For water sports enthusiasts, a canoe trip on the river is a good idea.

Rain days in Kruft: Even in bad weather, there is plenty to do in Kruft - visit the thermal baths in Bad Bertrich, for example, or take a trip to nearby Koblenz, where numerous museums and sights await.

Where is it most beautiful? It is particularly idyllic in spring, when nature awakens and everything is green and in bloom. A walk through the forest or along a stream provides pure relaxation. In autumn, too, the region shows its most beautiful side when the leaves turn colourful and you can stroll leisurely through the Eifel countryside.

In short: Kruft is definitely worth a visit! Visitors can experience a lot here - be it cultural, culinary or active sports. Come by and let yourself be enchanted too!

Wochenend-Etappen in drei Jahren.
