Discover the region

Geographical location and special features: Königsfeld is located on the edge of the picturesque Ahr Valley near Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. The landscape is characterised by rolling hills, vineyards and forests. Here you will find peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities.

Tourist attractions: The region offers numerous historical sites such as castles, palaces or monasteries. A highlight is the Marienthal monastery with its impressive architecture and beautiful gardens. A walk through the old town of Ahrweiler is also worthwhile: here you can marvel at medieval town walls as well as admire half-timbered houses.

Cultural highlights and events: Königsfeld has a lively art scene with galleries and exhibitions by local artists. The wine festival in August attracts many visitors every year - here you can taste regional wines, listen to music or simply relax.

Culinary specialities: The cuisine of the region is characterised by hearty specialities such as pork knuckle or sauerbraten. But vegetarians also get their money's worth: try the regional asparagus or the delicious chanterelles, for example.

Outdoor activities: The countryside around Königsfeld is perfect for hiking and cycling tours. In summer you can go swimming in the nearby outdoor pool, while in winter the Hohe Acht ski area invites you to enjoy winter sports.

Best seasons and places: Spring is ideal for hiking through the blossoming vineyards. In summer, the open-air swimming pool in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and visits to wine festivals are enticing. Autumn offers a particularly beautiful atmosphere with the play of colours of the deciduous trees, while in winter skiing at the Nürburgring can be exciting.

Overall, Königsfeld is definitely worth a trip - whether you are interested in history, nature or good food. And if it rains? Then a visit to the Ahrtal Museum in Ahrweiler or the thermal baths "Ahr-Thermen" is recommended. Wherever you spend your time: Enjoy your stay!
