Klotten lies on the banks of the Moselle between the towns of Cochem and Treis-Karden. The picturesque vineyards characterise the landscape of this region. Here you can enjoy a relaxing time-out or be active - just the way you like it.

A highlight for any tourist is certainly the 13th century Coraidelstein Castle with its impressive tower and surrounding park. Another must is a walk through the historic centre of Klotten with its 17th century half-timbered houses.

For those interested in culture, there are numerous events throughout the year such as the wine festival in August or the traditional winegrowers' festival in September.

The regional cuisine has a lot to offer: Be sure to try the delicious Riesling wine or enjoy hearty dishes such as Himmel un Äd (heaven on earth) or Saumagen (pig's stomach) over a cosy dinner in a typical wine tavern.

When it comes to outdoor activities, hiking enthusiasts should definitely not miss a trip to Eltz Castle - it is one of the most beautiful castles in Germany! Cyclists also get their money's worth here: there are numerous well-maintained cycle paths along the Moselle. In summer, you can also enjoy a refreshing dip in Klotten's open-air swimming pool.

Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, there is plenty to do in Klotten: Visit the interesting wine museum, for example, or take a trip to nearby Cochem and visit the impressive Reichsburg.

Total: Klotten is definitely worth a trip! Here you will find everything you could want for a relaxing holiday - unspoilt nature, cultural highlights and culinary delights. Come by and experience for yourself why this region is so special!
