Klempau

Geographically, Klempau is located near Lake Ratzeburg and borders the federal states of Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The region is characterised by its rolling hills, wide fields and forests - perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling.

Touristically, Klempau has some interesting sights to offer. For example, visit the St. Marien church with its impressive tower or stroll through the idyllic castle park. The local history museum also provides an insight into the history of the region.

Culturally, Klempau also has a lot to offer: in summer, the music and culture festival "Klempauer Hofkonzerte" regularly takes place here. Well-known musicians perform there and there is a great atmosphere under the open sky.

For gourmets there is also something to discover: Be sure to try the famous "plum cake", which is traditionally baked here!

If it should rain, we can recommend a visit to nearby Ratzeburg. There are many museums there as well as cosy cafés to linger in.
