Geographically, Kirchroth is located in the eastern part of Bavaria and is surrounded by picturesque forests and rolling hills. The region is characterised by its tranquil atmosphere and proximity to nature - a perfect destination for all nature lovers!

One of the most famous sights in Kirchroth is Egg Castle, an impressive 14th century fortress with a rich history. Another highlight is the pilgrimage church of St. Salvator, a beautiful example of baroque architecture.

There are many options for culture enthusiasts: Visit the local history museum, for example, or take a guided tour of the historic old town.

When it comes to culinary specialities, you should definitely try the famous Bavarian roast pork - a real treat for the palate! Beer lovers will also get their money's worth: There are several breweries in Kirchroth whose beers are known far beyond the borders of Germany.

In summer, hiking is a popular outdoor activity - discover breathtaking landscapes such as the Danube breakthrough at Weltenburg Monastery or hike the Goldsteig hiking trail through the Bavarian Forest National Park.

In winter months, you can go skiing and snowboarding.

If it rains, there are still plenty of options: For example, visit the indoor swimming pool or relax in one of the numerous saunas. A visit to the cinema or theatre can also be a good option.

Overall, Kirchroth is definitely worth a trip - whether for a short trip or a longer stay. The region offers breathtaking landscapes, cultural highlights and culinary delights as well as activities for every taste!

Sehr empfehlenswert!

This gravel tour was a great adventure for us. We started the tour in Passau following the Donau to Regensburg. This gave us two days to to get us a little into it. It broke the part of the Donau into two, we ended the tour in 8 days in Passau. Instead of following the GPX we sometimes followed the indications of the official cycling tours to stay away from busy traffic.
