Geographical location and special features: Kamern is located on the western edge of the Drömling Nature Park and is surrounded by an idyllic landscape of forests, lakes and rivers. The town itself is known for its well-preserved half-timbered houses as well as the historic market square with the imposing church of St. Laurentius.

Tourist attractions: An absolute highlight is Kamern Castle, an impressive baroque building from the 18th century with a beautifully landscaped park. The "Anna" windmill is also worth a visit - it has been lovingly restored and now houses a small museum.

Cultural highlights and events: Every year Kamern hosts the popular Schützenfest - a colourful mix of traditional customs, music and dancing. The Christmas market on the market square also attracts numerous visitors every year.

Culinary specialities: Be sure to try the regional specialities such as Drömling asparagus or carp from the nearby Altmärkisches Fischereimuseum.

Outdoor activities: The best time for outdoor activities in Kamern is spring to autumn: stroll along the numerous hiking or cycling trails through the picturesque surroundings or explore the rivers Ohre and Drömling by canoe. Fishing is also very popular here.

Rain days in Kamern: Even in rainy weather there is plenty to discover: Visit the local history museum or take a trip to nearby Stendal with its numerous museums and galleries.

Where is it most beautiful? Especially charming are the walks through the Kamern castle park and a ride on the historic trolley on the disused railway line between Oebisfelde and Haldensleben.

Kamern, Stendal - a destination that is definitely worth a trip!

Also keine vielbefahrenen Straßen.
