Irmtraut

A highlight of the region is Irmtraut Castle from the 17th century. Today, the baroque building houses a museum with an impressive collection of artworks from different eras. The parish church of St. Johannes Baptist is also worth a visit: the late Gothic building dates back to the 14th century and impresses with its magnificent furnishings.

In addition to the historical sights, there are also numerous opportunities for leisure activities in nature: hike on one of the many hiking trails through the Westerwald or explore the surroundings by bike. In winter, ski resorts such as the Hohe Meißner area also entice you to take part in winter sports.
