The special feature of Immesheim is its numerous historical buildings and sights. A must for every visitor is the 12th century St. James Church with its impressive Romanesque tower. Immesheim Castle from the 18th century and the local history museum also provide an insight into the history of the region.

In addition to the cultural highlights, there are also many outdoor activities to experience around Immesheim: Hike through the vineyards or climb to the top of the Donnersberg for a breathtaking view of the entire region! Summer is perfect for cycling or swimming in the nearby Ebertsweiher swimming lake.

Culinary Immesheim also has a lot to offer - try local specialities such as Saumagen (a type of sausage) or enjoy delicious wines from the local vineyards.

Even if the weather is bad, you don't have to miss out on experiences: For example, visit one of the many museums in the area or take advantage of rainy days to go shopping in the nearby city of Kaiserslautern.

    Landschaftlich abwechslungsreiche, sehr gut ausgeschilderte, einfach zu laufende Wanderung. größtenteils auf dem offiziellen Zellertal Wanderweg (Markierungen „Z“). In Einzelthum erstmal hoch auf den nördlichen Kamm, dann bei Albisheim wieder runter ins Tal. Durch teils schattige Wäldchen und über weitläufige Wiesen zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Leider keine Einkehrmöglichkeiten gesehen. Die Tour hat recht wenige schattige Abschnitte, daher besser nicht im Hochsommer laufen, wie wir :-)

    Einfach zu fahrende Radtour (nicht anstrengend, intuitive Wegführung) durch Dörfer und Weinberge mit schönen Aussichtspunkten. Ein Abstecher nach Kirchheimbolanden abseits der Route, mit hübscher Innenstadt, Einkehrmöglichkeiten und einer gut erhaltenen Stadtmaueranlage ist durchaus lohnenswert. Die Tour hat nur wenige, kurze, knackige Steigungen und verläuft überwiegend auf gut fahrbaren/asphaltierten Wegen mit wenig bis gar keinem Autoverkehr. Mit dem o.g. Abstecher und zwei längeren Pausen in einer Eisdiele und im Weingut Schwan war die Tour heute ein schönes tagesfüllendes Programm mit unseren Freunden!

    Ich bin den Weg schon zweimal von Bensheim nach Miltenberg gelaufen, jeweils in drei Tagesetappen. Die Markierungen sind sehr gut und der Weg ist abwechslungsreich. Für mich eine der schönsten Touren in Deutschland, zumal man richtig aus der Zivilisation rauskommt und nicht ständig Autos hört. Dabei sind Restaurants und Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten nie wirklich wir entfernt, Anreise und Abreise einfach mit dem ÖPNV möglich.

    Wir haben die Tour in Niefernheim begonnen und sind in Zell auf die Originalroute gestoßen. Auch im Winter eine schöne Route. Vor allem ruhig und von wenig Leuten belagert. Landschaftlich natürlich herrlich, mit schönem Weitblick und zwischen Reben und Gärten.
