Horbach

Geographically, Horbach lies between the rivers Sieg and Lahn and the Nassau Nature Park. The landscape is characterised by rolling hills, wide meadows and dense forests - a paradise for hikers and nature lovers.

The most important sights are the St. Maria Magdalena Church from the 18th century and Horbach Castle from the 16th century with its impressive Renaissance portal.

Cultural highlights include the annual summer theatre on the castle boundary or the music festival "Horbach Live". The region also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try the Westerwald cherry liqueur or enjoy hearty specialities such as kale with mettwurst or potato soup with toasted bread.

For outdoor activities, spring to autumn is particularly suitable, when you can go hiking, cycling or canoeing - for example on the nearby Lahn. In winter, ice skating rinks and ski resorts in the surrounding area are enticing.

Where is the most beautiful? That's hard to say - every part of Horbach has its own charm. However, the views of the Hunsrück and the Siebengebirge from the Schlossberg or the castle border are particularly beautiful.
