Discover the region

Geographically, Horath lies between the Moselle and Rhine rivers and thus offers an ideal starting point for hikes through the picturesque landscape. Especially in spring and summer, everything blossoms here and the green panorama invites you to linger.

One of Horath's tourist attractions is the 18th-century St. Anna Chapel, which impresses with its Baroque architecture. Also worth mentioning are the local history museum and the historic Jewish cemetery.

Cultural highlights can also be discovered: In summer, the "Horather Kultursommer" takes place every year - a festival with concerts, readings and open-air theatre performances. There are also regular art exhibitions in the gallery on the market square.

For culinary connoisseurs, we definitely recommend a detour to the restaurant "Zum Alten Fritz", where you can enjoy local specialities such as Saumagen or Hunsrück lamb.

For those who like to be active, there are numerous options: Hiking through the forests of the Soonwald or cycling along the Moselle are among the most popular activities in this region. Fishing at one of the lakes around Horath is also an option.

And what do you do in Horath when it rains? Then we recommend a visit to the indoor swimming pool or the cinema. Those interested in history can visit the local history museum or explore the Jewish cemetery.

In summary, Horath offers a lot of variety and tranquillity at the same time as a destination. The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful and the cultural highlights as well as culinary specialities make the place a real insider tip. Whether hiking, cycling or simply relaxing - Horath has something to offer for everyone!
