Holzkirchen is known for its picturesque old town with many historic buildings. The town hall and the church of St. Laurentius are particularly worth seeing. A walk through the Schlossbergpark is also worthwhile to take a look at the beautiful panorama.

Miesbach, on the other hand, is famous for its traditional market and charming alleyways. Here you can also visit the magnificent parish church of St. Georg or pay a visit to the local history museum.

In addition to these cultural highlights, there are many other activities in the region: for example, hike along the Mangfall Valley or explore Lake Tegernsee by boat. In winter, you can also go skiing on the nearby slopes.

But it's not just outdoor fans who get their money's worth here - the region also has plenty to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try local specialities such as Schweinshaxe or Obatzda!

And what to do in bad weather? How about a trip to the Monte Mare leisure pool in Miesbach or a guided tour of the brewery museum in Holzkirchen?

Whether summer or winter - this region is always worth a trip! Let yourself be inspired by our travel guide and experience for yourself where Holzkirchen and Miesbach are at their best.

The hike is ok, there is pretty cool in the forest, a lot of shadow, but the Kirchsee does not worth visiting in summer: an overcrowded not pleasant place. I guess, in autumn is the best. There are not many banches though, only near the lake.
