Hohenwarth is idyllically located at the foot of the Bavarian Forest and is known for its picturesque landscapes with rolling hills, forests and rivers. The region offers a wide range of activities for nature lovers, hiking enthusiasts or families.

One of the tourist highlights is the 13th century Hohenwarth Castle. It was built on a hill and offers an impressive view of the surrounding area. Also worth seeing are the 18th century St. Michael's Church and the historic market square with its old half-timbered houses.

Culturally, Hohenwarth also has a lot to offer: The annual "Hohenschlager Kirwa" festival attracts numerous visitors every year and offers a colourful programme of music, dancing and regional delicacies such as grilled bratwurst or fresh beer from the on-site brewery.

If you want to indulge in culinary delights, you should definitely try the traditional Bavarian cuisine - hearty dishes such as knuckle of pork or liver dumplings are served freshly prepared here.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are many opportunities for hiking, cycling or Nordic walking. The best seasons for this are spring and autumn, when the temperatures are pleasantly mild and the landscape shines in the most beautiful colours. A hike through the nearby nature reserve "Hohenbogen" is particularly recommended, where you can discover rare animal and plant species.

There are also plenty of activities when the weather is bad: Near Hohenwarth you will find an indoor swimming pool as well as various museums such as the glass museum in Frauenau or the forest museum in Zwiesel.

In summary: Hohenwarth is definitely worth a trip! Whether you are interested in culture, nature lovers or gourmets - everyone will get their money's worth here. Discover this charming region in the district of Cham for yourself and let yourself be enchanted by its beauty!

Das lang ersehnte Bierchen muss also etwas warten ;)

Man muss schon Kondition mitbringen.
