Hohenleuben

Hohenleuben is especially known for its picturesque landscape. Here you can enjoy nature to the fullest and go on extensive hikes or bike tours. One highlight is the Leubatal cycle path, which runs along the river Weiße Elster and offers breathtaking views.

But Hohenleuben also has a lot to offer in terms of culture: Hohenleuben Castle with its baroque garden invites you to linger, while the local history museum provides exciting insights into the town's history.

In Greiz, on the other hand, you will find impressive architecture: first and foremost the Upper Castle with its magnificent park and numerous historic buildings such as the town hall or the town church.

For those who like to be spoilt with culinary delights, you should definitely try the famous Vogtland Plauensche Spitzen - a kind of fine pastry made from egg white mass.

The summer is particularly suitable for outdoor activities: then not only hiking and cycling are enticing, but also bathing lakes such as the Zeulenrodaer Meer or water sports on the Talsperre Pöhl. If the weather is bad, we recommend taking a trip to the cinema or visiting one of the museums.

Whether culture, nature or culinary delights - Hohenleuben and Greiz are definitely worth a visit. A travel guide for the Vogtland region should definitely not leave out these two towns!
