The town has a rich history as a centre of wine production and still delights today with its charming old town centre.

Cultural highlights and events. There is much to experience here for culture lovers: The annual wine festival in August attracts visitors from near and far, while the jazz festival in September brings top-class musicians to the stage.

Culinary specialities. Be sure to try the famous Riesling or another local wine at a tasting in one of the numerous wineries or Straußwirtschaften. You should also not miss out on typical regional dishes such as Handkäs' mit Musik or Frankfurter Grüne Soße.
