    Schöne leichte Runde. Es gibt einiges zu sehen, auch die Glockenschächte sind interessant. Leider sind auf den Wegweiser 2 Hütte ausgewiesen, diese sind aber nicht auffindbar. Es gibt einige Rastmöglichkeiten. Auch kann es auf einigen Schildern zu Verwechselungen mit anderen Wegen kommen, da sich die Markierungen ähneln. P.S.: Auch bei dieser Wanderung passt die Beschreibung nicht mit der Laufrichtung auf der Karte überein !

    Zugegeben: Die Wanderung war bereits im April 2018 (Start: Am Flürchen in Höhr-Grenzhausen), aber ich kann mich trotzdem an vieles noch erinnern. Für den, der Pfade und Steige liebt, wird die Wanderung wohl nichts sein, denn es geht fast ausschließlich über breite Wege, auch einige Asphaltstücke sind dabei. Was mir aber so gut gefallen hat, ist, dass man bei dieser Wanderung einfach die Seele mal baumeln lassen kann. Das ist der Vorteil bei solchen Wegen, denn man muss nicht ständig auf Trittsicherheit achten. Es gibt genug Rastmöglichkeiten mit Hütten und Bänken. Highlight ist der Köppel mit seinen 540 m. Einkehrschwung (Öffnungszeiten beachten) möglich, oder hinauf auf den Turm mit einer tollen Rundumsicht. Am Erlenhofsee in Ransbach-Baumbach machen wir unsere Brotzeit und spüren den Frühling. Die vier nachfolgenden Weiher sind einfach nur Idylle pur. Entspannt geht es wieder zu unserem Start. Eine Rast kann man in der Waldgaststube Flürchen machen. Wanderherz --- was willst Du mehr? Mit NAVI oder Karte, da keine eigene Markierung. Fazit: Wer Erholung und Ruhe sucht, für den ist dieser Rundwanderweg genau richtig! Wie immer: Einiges an achtlos weggeworfenem Müll! Einfach nur traurig!!!

    Eine schöne, abwechslungsreiche Runde! Frühlingserwachen bei warmen Temperaturen inklusive. Sehr gut markierter Wanderweg, eine Wanderhütte fehlt, ab und zu eine Bank. Wie überall ist der Wald in einem traurigen Zustand. Uns hat die Runde trotzdem gut gefallen. Eine Bitte an alle WandererInnen: Nehmt Euren Müll, egal, ob Verpflegungsreste, Zigarettenkippen, Hundehäufchen, Tücher für das "Geschäftle" oder Sonstiges wieder mit nach Hause. Es ist sehr erschreckend und traurig wie vermüllt die Natur auf und an den Wanderwegen geworden ist. - Der Natur zuliebe! -

    Diese Tour ist ganz besonders etwas für Kletterfreunde! Zusammen mit einem Freund haben wir am 24.08.2016 bei herrlichsten Sommerwetter die Westerwälder-Klasssiker-Runde befahren. Die Runde ist absolut empfehlenswert und hervorragend ausgesucht. Sie geizt nicht mit landschaftlicher Schönheit und ist vorwiegend auf Straßen ausgelegt, die nicht übermäßig mit Kraftverkehr belastet sind. Das Streckenprofil hat es in sich! Um die Strecke zu bewältigen sollte man trainiert sein. Die angegebene Fahrtzeit ist bei den zahlreichen Steigungen und Abfahrten realsitisch. Tipp: Bei heißem Wetter viel Trinken! Hinweis: Wir sind die Rund-Tour entgegen den Uhrzeigersinn gefahren. Dies hat sich als richtige Entscheidung erwiesen, da die meisten schweren Anstiege dadurch auf den ersten 100 km lagen. Die restlichen rund 60 km waren dann nicht mehr so fordernd, was nach den vorhergehenden Anstrengungen auch gut so war. Highlights: Der Anstieg von Isenburg nach Stromberg mit toller Aussicht; der Anstieg in Richtung Kemmenau (Arzbach - Welschneudorf); daneben natürlich der Wiesensee und der Dreifelder Weiher usw. Fazit: eine landschaftlich ausgesucht schöne Strecke, die auch körperlich alles abverlangt! C. Heidrich
