Geographically, Hilders is located at the foot of the Rhön Mountains with a breathtaking landscape of mountains and valleys. The region is known for its nature reserves such as the Black Moor National Park or the Wasserkuppe mountain - the highest peak in Hessen. Here you can go hiking, cycling or skiing (in winter). If it rains, there are also many museums in the area such as the Kloster Kreuzberg Museum or Schloss Fasanerie.

But the city itself also has a lot to offer: Start your tour by visiting the old town of Fulda with its historic buildings such as the St. Salvator Cathedral and the baroque palace garden as well as the Vonderau Museum of Art & Cultural History. Another highlight are the annual events such as the Wine Festival in September or the traditional Christmas Market in December.

Culinary this region also has a lot to offer: Try regional specialities such as "Hessischer Handkäs" (a type of curd cheese) or "Fuldaer Pfefferpotthast" (a hearty stew), accompanied by local beers or wines from the Franconian wine region.

For outdoor activities, we recommend a visit to the "Rhön Park Hotel Aktiv Resort" with its numerous leisure facilities such as tennis, squash or mini golf. In summer you can also visit the nearby bathing lake.

In summary, Hilders, Fulda is a destination for all nature and culture lovers - a town full of history and traditions as well as breathtaking landscapes. We hope this travel guide has helped you make the most of your stay!
