Hilden

Geographically, Hilden and Mettmann are close to the Rhine metropolis Düsseldorf. The two towns are characterised by their idyllic location on the edge of the Bergisches Land. Here you will find numerous hiking trails and cycling tours along picturesque rivers such as the Itter or the Neandertal.

The region is also known for its cultural highlights, including the Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf or Benrath Castle with its beautiful gardens. In Hilden itself, be sure to visit the historic market square, where a weekly market is held every Wednesday.

For culinary delights, there are various restaurants serving regional specialities - for example, hearty sauerkraut or delicious sausages from the local master butcher.

When it rains, there is still plenty to do: Why not visit one of the many cinemas in Düsseldorf or go to the theatre! A visit to the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum is also a good idea in bad weather.

In the summer months, outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling can be particularly enjoyed. In winter, on the other hand, you can go skiing at the surrounding ski resorts!
