Heyen is located near Hameln and is known for its picturesque location on the river Weser as well as its historic buildings and sights. The town has a rich history and offers visitors many opportunities to explore.

One of Heyen's main tourist attractions is Hämelschenburg Castle - an impressive Renaissance castle with a fascinating collection of antique furniture. Another highlight is the collegiate church of St. Marien - a beautiful church with a long history.

For cultural highlights, be sure to take a walk through the old town, where you can admire numerous half-timbered houses, or visit one of the many museum highlights such as the Münzkabinett or the Kunstverein Springe e.V.

When it comes to culinary delights, Heyen is the place to be! Try local specialities such as Rote Grütze (a dessert made from red berries) or enjoy a cold beer in a traditional brewery.

Outdoor activities are also high on the list: hiking along the Weser Cycle Path or canoeing on the river are popular activities with tourists during the summer months. In winter, you can enjoy ice skating on the frozen lake or take a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow-covered landscape.

When it rains, there is still plenty to do in Heyen. Visit the Weserbergland thermal baths or take a trip to the Hannover Adventure Zoo - a great place for families with children.

Overall, Heyen is definitely worth a trip! The town offers numerous sights and activities for every taste and every season. We hope this guide will help you plan your stay and we wish you an unforgettable holiday in Heyen!
