Discover the region

Heubach is located at the foot of the Swabian Alb and is surrounded by picturesque hills. The town is about 10 kilometres east of Schwäbisch Gmünd and offers a quiet atmosphere far from the hustle and bustle of large cities. The historic centre with its half-timbered houses from the 16th century invites you to stroll around.

For those interested in history, a visit to Rosenstein Castle, which sits enthroned on a hill above the town, is worthwhile. Here you can not only admire the baroque architecture, but also enjoy the view of the Rems Valley.

Culture enthusiasts should definitely visit the Heidenheim Art Museum, which houses works by important artists such as Picasso or Chagall. The Alte Turnhalle theatre is also worth a visit - performances take place here regularly.

A highlight for gourmets are the culinary specialities of the region - be sure to try Maultaschen or Spätzle! You will be warmly welcomed in the cosy inns and can taste regional wines.

For those who like to be active, the surroundings of Heubach can be explored on numerous hiking trails. The Albsteig trail and the Remstal forest trail are particularly recommended. Cyclists also get their money's worth here - there is a well-developed network of cycle paths along the Kocher river or in the Swabian Alb biosphere area.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, a visit to the indoor swimming pool or a game of bowling in the local recreation hall is a good idea.

Heubach is worth a visit at any time of year, but it is especially beautiful in spring when nature awakens and everything is green and in bloom. In summer, balmy evenings with a glass of wine under the open sky are enticing, while in autumn you can admire the golden forest of colours. In winter, snow-covered landscapes create a romantic atmosphere.

Overall, Heubach offers its visitors a lot of peace and relaxation as well as numerous opportunities for active leisure activities - so it is an ideal destination for all nature lovers!
