Herschbroich is idyllically located on the edge of the Rhineland Nature Park and offers a breathtaking landscape with rolling hills, green meadows and dense forests. The area is known for its numerous hiking and cycling trails as well as the many outdoor recreational opportunities.

For cultural highlights, be sure to visit nearby Ahrweiler. Here you will find historic buildings from the Middle Ages such as the town wall or the town hall. Another highlight are also the numerous wineries along the Ahr, where you can taste the famous red wine.

In summer, Herschbroich offers many outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling on the well-marked trails through beautiful landscapes. In winter, you can go skiing or snowshoeing here - perfect for getting away from it all!

    Tolle Runde, landschaftlich sehr schön. Bis auf die Abschnitte auf den Bundesstraßen waren wir an einem Samstag bei tollem Wetter ziemlich allein unterwegs. Zum Rasen sind die Straßen im übrigen völlig ungeeignet, da oftmals ziemlich schmal mit Gegenverkehr, für unsere Vespa aber prima. Wenn man Zeit genug einplant sollte man sich die Maare anschauen. Teilweise ist Baden erlaubt. Wir mochten das Pulvermaar. An der Ahr gibt es auch viele nette Örtchen zum Verweilen. Allen voran natürlich Ahrweiler und Altenahr. Auch den Nürgburgring könnte man näher erkunden. Alles in allem hat die Runde uns super gefallen. Dankeschön.

    Eine sehr schöne Rundwanderung: Zunächst taucht man tief in den Wald ein, bevor man dann ab dem Streckenabschnitt Kesselchen an der Strecke entlang geht, vorbei an den Passagen Karussell, Hohe Acht, Hedwigshöhe, Wippermann und Brünnchen. Ideal zum Beobachten des Renngeschehens. :-)

    We did this hike as a couple of motor racing enthusiasts to give us some different places to look at the track on a busy tourist session day. We were walking beside the track for most of the walk and it was quite rewarding for us. Lots of places you will know as a driver but never reach easily to view. Modified it slightly, running backwards, starting at brunchen and heading towards the karussell, but heading down the historic Steilstrecke for the fun of it before doubling back up the hill to karussell. Then back down the hill onto the standard trail and continued. Started to drizzle and looked like worse to come, so we ended up cutting off the lower southwest loop of this walk - there is an easy path between shown on the map. Then back to brunchen completing the loop without retracing steps. Always prefer a loop to a one way-return hike. That route cut off a few km and we ended up doing our version of about 8.5km in around 2 hours, at a reasonable pace with short viewing stops every 20 mins or so. Quite hilly with some challenging sections particularly southwest sections. Very enjoyable.

    Eine sehr schöne Tour, teilweise durch wenig befahrene kleine Straßen. Nur die Einstufung als Leicht würde ich überdenken. Es gibt zwei oder drei Serpentinen die ich einem Anfänger nicht empfehlen würde.

    Wonderful! It’s always a pleasure to come here to participate in Rad Am Ring! Beautiful circuit but hard in the "Grüne Hölle" but with slopes at 17% ! Well organization, Top! Superbe!     Wir haben am 22.6.22 die Eifel Tour Marienburg gemacht und sind sehr begeistert. Startpunkt in Mayen, Vormittags noch auf leeren Straßen an der Mosel vorbei. Die Moselschleife haben wir geschlabbert, die kennen wir schon. Am Ring eine zusätzliche Pause gemacht, den Rennfahren zugeschaut. GvLG die Globetrottel

    ACHTUNG, nicht repräsentativ, daher lesen! Dank Corona war heute der Nürburgring komplett geschlossen, außerdem waren die Straßen morgens feucht, dadurch waren auch keine Motorradfahrer unterwegs: Es war einfach herrlich still! Unfassbar viele verschiedene Vögel waren zu hören, der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Turm war auch geöffnet und man war auf der gesamten Strecke beinahe alleine! Einfach traumhaft, vielen Dank dafür! Natürlich sind diese Umstände die absolute Ausnahme, aber es lohnt sich wirklich, im Winter und am besten im Lockdown hier unterwegs zu sein. Der Parkplatz ist ein wenig klein, mehr Platz gibt es hier https://goo.gl/maps/5g37PjUj8EX2T2BT7 Nicht ganz perfekt war nur der hohe Asphaltanteil, aber hey, dafür ist das Wetter auf dieser Strecke fast egal. Durch die Schneephasen der letzten Wochen liegen einige Bäume quer, da wo sie weggeräumt sind, ist es teilweise etwas verwüstet. Aber insgesamt ist die Gegend einfach genial (wenn der Lärm fehlt). Gehzeit war übrigens 4,5 Stunden mit langen Pausen (1 Person, männlich, allein)

    Eine sehr schöne und interessante Wanderung und gut mit Hund machbar, sofern der eigene Hund laute Motorengeräusche abkann! 😉 Ab dem Besucherparkplatz verläuft es wieder ruhiger durch den Wald hin zur Hohen Acht und dem Kaiser-Wilhelm-Turm! Somit bietet die Wanderung sowohl interessante Blicke auf die Nordschleife, als auch entspannte Passagen im Wald! GPS per App hilft abseits der Rennstrecke sehr!

    Eine tolle Wanderung für Motorsportfreunde. Schöne Aussichten auf die Strecke und in die Eifel. Im zweiten Drittel der Strecke erwartet den Wanderer ein abenteuerlicher Pfadabschnitt, der richtig Spaß. Am Anfang des letzten Drittels kann dann schließlich die Nürburg besichtigt werden - ein krönender Abschluss der Tour.
