    Bin die Tour gestern gegangen und mir fiel auf, dass an der Stelle, wo der "Rundweg" beginnt die Beschilderung nach links in die vorgegebene Wanderrichtung fehlt. Man wird von oben kommend halbrechts über die Holzbrücke geführt und folgt somit dann dieser Schleife entgegen der eigentlichen Routenführung. Die Tour ist dann bis zur Oberprether Mühle sehr abwechsungsreich, von da geht es eher monoton stetig bergauf bis zum Rundweg-Start. Immerhin ist die Wegebeschaffenheit sehr angenehm (fast keine Schotterung) - von daher eine empfehlenswerte Tour mit der (in dieser Region seltenen) Ein-kehrmöglichkeit am Oberprether Campingplatz.

    Sehr schöne abgelegene Waldkapelle. Oben rum kommt man mit dem Rad hin von der Oleftalsperre aus besser zu Fuß. Es gibt zwei Tische mit Bänken so dass man Mitgebrachtes dort im Schatten verzehren kann.

    Wir sind den Weg im Mai mit unserem Hund gegangen. Obwohl es die Tage vorher viel geregnet hat, war er gut begehbar. Oft am Bach entlang mit schöner Aussicht. Einziges Manko für uns war, dass die ersten 2,8 km nur über asphaltierte Wege führten. An den Höckern/Panzersperren wäre eine Infotafel schön, auf der der Zweck der Höcker erläutert wird. Ansonsten schöner Spaziergang.

    Eine sehr schöne Runde auf meist breiten Wegen. Ein paar Steigungen sind zu überwinden, aber bei dann traumhaften Ausblicken über die Eifellandschaften, wird man für die kleine Mühe belohnt. Wir haben den Parkplatz oben an der Burg genutzt, der direkt am Wanderweg liegt. Der Besuch der Burg lohnt auf jeden Fall, leider sind die gastronomischen Möglichkeiten stark eingeschränkt, auch heute am Sonntag war das Burgcafe geschlossen. Bei Hitze und blauem Himmel ist die Strecke nicht zu empfehlen, da es fast keinen Schatten gibt. Erwähnen sollte man noch die kleinen Dörfchen am Weg, mit oft schönen Häusern und Vorgärten.
