Discover the region

Heinade lies on the southern edge of the Solling-Vogler Nature Park and is surrounded by picturesque forests and hills. The town is known for its idyllic half-timbered houses from the 16th century and its historic town centre. In Holzminden, on the other hand, you will find a modern town with a variety of restaurants, bars and shopping facilities.

Tourist attractions include Bevern Castle with its baroque church or Amelungsborn Monastery with its impressive cloister. Cultural highlights are offered in the form of concerts at Fürstenberg Castle or theatre performances at Holzminden Municipal Theatre.

A highlight for gourmets are the culinary specialities of the region such as the famous Weser sandstone cake or the delicious fish soup "Sollinger Forelleneintopf". A visit to a traditional beer garden is also not to be missed!

The best season for outdoor activities is definitely summer! Hike through the Solling-Vogler Nature Park or explore it by bike. In winter, skiing is a great activity.

If it rains, you can visit a museum, for example - there is a porcelain manufactory at Fürstenberg Castle or the German Huguenot Museum in Bad Karlshafen.

The most beautiful place is definitely the river Weser, which meanders through the region and offers numerous opportunities for walking or picnicking.

Heinade, Holzminden is definitely worth a visit - whether for those interested in culture, nature lovers or gourmets!

Fantastisch!
