Havelberg is known for its impressive cathedral, which towers high above the town. Visitors can not only admire the architecture here, but also enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Also worth seeing are the "Alte Bischofsburg" museum and the historic market square with its half-timbered houses.

In Stendal, you should definitely take a walk through the old town. Here you will find numerous well-preserved buildings from the Middle Ages as well as many cosy cafés and restaurants. Another highlight is the Theater der Altmark, which regularly offers cultural events.

For culinary delights, we recommend trying typical German dishes such as schnitzel or bratwurst. Havelberg also has several fish restaurants serving fresh fish from the Elbe.

If it should rain outside, you can take a look around one of the museums or galleries or visit one of the cinemas.

The most beautiful places in Havelberg and Stendal can be found along the river Elbe: Here you can go on wonderful bicycle tours or simply take a walk and enjoy nature. Trips to the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve or the Tangermünde castle complex are particularly recommended.

The best seasons for outdoor activities are spring and summer, when it is pleasantly warm. However, in autumn you can also take beautiful walks to admire the colourful foliage.

Overall, Havelberg and Stendal offer many opportunities for a varied holiday in Germany. We hope our travel tips will help you plan your trip!

Also keine vielbefahrenen Straßen.
