Maps and trails
Haslach im Kinzigtal lies at the foot of the Black Forest and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Here you will find numerous hiking and cycling trails along the picturesque river landscapes of the Kinzig valley. The town itself has a long history as a trading town with well-preserved half-timbered houses dating back to the 16th century.

The most important sights include the local history museum with its impressive collection of historical objects and the 13th century collegiate church of St. Arbogast with its magnificent fresco paintings.

Culture enthusiasts will be pleased to learn that there are regular concerts, theatre performances and art exhibitions in Haslach - a highlight is the annual cultural festival "Heimattage", where local music groups perform.

But culinary lovers will also get their money's worth here: try the regional speciality "Black Forest ham" or taste the local wine directly from the local vintner!

In summer, a canoe trip on the Kinzig is a great option or you can simply relax and picnic on the riverbank. In winter, on the other hand, the nearby skiing areas entice you with perfect conditions for winter sports enthusiasts.

And if the weather doesn't cooperate for once, there are still numerous indoor activities such as a visit to the indoor swimming pool or sauna.

Where is it most beautiful? That's hard to say, because Haslach has so much to offer! But the hiking trails along the Kinzig valley and the historic half-timbered houses in Haslach's old town are certainly particularly impressive.

To sum up: Haslach in the Kinzig valley is definitely worth a trip - whether you are a culture vulture, looking for outdoor adventures or just want to relax. This travel guide provides you with all the important information for an unforgettable stay in this charming town in Germany's Ortenau district.
