Discover the region

Haselbach is a municipality with about 1,000 inhabitants and is located on the edge of the Thuringian Forest. The landscape is surrounded by rolling hills and offers many opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling. In summer, you can explore nature on the numerous hiking trails, while winter is perfect for skiing.

One of the most famous sights in Haselbach is the 16th-century Forderglauchau Castle, which is now used as a hotel. St. John's Church from the 18th century is also worth a visit.

Cultural highlights include the annual castle festival and the autumn and wine festival in October, where regional specialities can be sampled.

For culinary delights, we definitely recommend trying a typical dish from the region: Thuringian dumplings with red cabbage and fried sausage - simply delicious!

If it rains, you can visit the local history museum or relax in one of the cosy guest lounges with coffee and cake.

It is particularly beautiful to stroll along the river Pleiße or to let your gaze wander over the picturesque landscape from the vantage point "Haselbacher Höhe".

Overall, Haselbach is a destination that is worth a trip because of its location and special features, the tourist attractions and the culinary highlights. We hope to have given you a good overview with this travel guide and wish you an unforgettable stay in Haselbach!
