Vielen Dank für den Tipp. Wir haben das Auto an der Ausfahrt Großenkneten am Gasthof Haaster Krug abgestellt und sind die Runde dann mit den Fahrrädern Richtung Großenkneten gefahren. Es war eine schöne und abwechslungsreiche Tour. Die Waldwege sind teilweise sehr sandig. Um die Ahlhorner Fischteiche traumhafte Natur.

    Rund um die Ahlhorner Fischteiche eine tolle Tour. Leider keine Einkehrmöglichkeit, aber schöne Plätze zum Picknick machen, also auf jeden Fall Proviant mitnehmen. Anfangs sind es Schotterwege, wenn man die Fischteiche hinter sich hat nur noch Teer - und Pflasterstraßen.

    Hallo erstmal, ich und meine Freundin sind die Route gegen 17-19 Uhr abgelaufen! Wir sind von einem Waldweg gestartet der parallel zu dem Gasthaus führt, deshalb haben wir die Steingräber erst gar nicht entdeckt, was wir uns am Ende der Wanderschaft eine schöne Überraschung beschert hat :) Habe erst gedacht (die können doch nicht so klein sein wo sind die den) Nach einen schönen Spaziergang c.a 1, Stunde der vorgegebenen Route, kommt ein verwilderter Abschnitt. Wenn man zu Fuß wandert ist er locker noch zu begehen! Dann sind wir am Schluss erst 2 der kleinen Steingräber begegnet und danach den großen Platz mit einer Masse an Gräber die Beeindruckend war! Fazit sehr schön für einen kleinen Spaziergang in der Natur und die Gräber auf jeden Fall einen Besuch Wert!!!

    Schöne Tour, ohne Zweifel. Kleine Anmerkung eines Ortskundigen: Der Bus 261 ist ein Schulbus, fährt also ab Schulzentrum (Westerholtkamp Ecke Am Lemsen) und auch nur, wenn dort Schulbetrieb ist. Ansonsten siehts ÖPNV-mäßig in Sage ziemlich mau aus, da macht es mehr Sinn, ein paar Meter draufzupacken und die Tour am Bahnhof Großenkneten starten/enden zu lassen. Oder aber man geht von Ahlhorn über Fischteiche, Sager Heide, Sage, Sager Schweiz nach Großenkneten und steigt dort wieder in die Nordwestbahn.
