Geographically, Golmbach is located in Lower Saxony, about 120 kilometres west of Hanover. The region is characterised by rolling hills and river valleys and is surrounded by dense forests and picturesque landscapes.

One of the tourist attractions in Golmbach is Bevern Castle, which was built in the Baroque style. Today, it houses a museum with an impressive collection of artworks from the 17th to 19th centuries.

For culture enthusiasts, there is also the Holzminden town museum to visit, which documents the history of the town as well as presenting changing exhibitions.

Alternative zur Landstraße ab Forst: der südlich gelegene Wirtschaftsweg etwas oberhalb des Forstbach (war früher einmal der Postweg durch die Weser-Furt in Forst weiter über Golmbach). Seit den COViD19-Verboten wird die ehem. Draisinenbahn der ehem. Vorwohle-EmmerthalerVerkehrsbetriebe nicht mehr betrieben!

    Was soll man noch sagen, einfach eine schöne Wanderung. wir haben sie entgegengesetzt der Pfeilrichtung gemacht. Ist vielleicht nur Geschmackssache, zumindest kann man sich so beim kleinen Fehler in der Streckenführung nicht vertun und hat nach etwa 4 Kilometern eine schöne Bank mit Ausblick zum Rasten. Und moderater ist der Anstieg auch.
