Discover the region

Geographically, Glatten is located on the edge of the Black Forest and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape. The area is known for its numerous hiking trails and cycling tours through forests and valleys. In summer, visitors can also enjoy the nearby Nagold River or go swimming in one of the many lakes.

Glatten has many tourist attractions to offer, including the 16th-century Waldenstein Castle with its impressive towers and walls, as well as the local history museum with its collection of historical artefacts from the region.

Culturally, there is much to discover - for example, visit the annual Culture Week in August or the traditional folk festival in September. Classical music concerts are also held regularly.

For culinary delights, visitors should definitely try a typical dish such as "Black Forest ham" or "Maultaschen", accompanied by regional wines or beers.

Outdoors, you can look forward to various activities: hiking on the Westweg trail or a bike tour through the Black Forest are just a few examples. In winter, the surrounding area also invites you to go skiing.

No need to despair when the weather is bad - instead, visit one of the local swimming pools or enjoy a cup of coffee in a cosy café.

The most beautiful area of Glatten is undoubtedly the area around Waldenstein Castle, where you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. But the nearby Nagold River and its picturesque banks are also a highlight for nature lovers.

Overall, Glatten is definitely worth a visit - with its rich history, cultural events and outdoor activities, it offers something for everyone. This travel guide will help you make the most of your stay!
