Geographically, Geldern and Kleve are located on the Lower Rhine, a region with numerous rivers and lakes. The landscape is characterised by meadows, fields and small villages - perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling.

In Geldern there are many historic buildings to visit, including the 13th century Walbeck Castle or the medieval city wall. Another highlight is the Irrland amusement park with its many attractions for young and old.

Kleve, on the other hand, offers a wide range of museums such as the Museum Kurhaus Kleve or the Moyland Castle Museum of Modern Art. The Schwanenburg castle on a hill above the town is also worth a visit.

If it rains, you can go to the indoor swimming pool in Geldern or choose one of the many cafés to drink coffee and eat cake. In Kleve, a visit to the Emmericher Tor Museum or the Cinemas Royal is recommended.

Culinary-wise, both cities have a lot to offer: Try the regional specialities such as Rhenish Sauerbraten or the famous apple strudel from the Lower Rhine.

The best seasons for outdoor activities are spring to autumn - then everything blossoms and the landscape is particularly beautiful. Hikes along the Niederrheinsteig trail or cycling tours through the idyllic surroundings are particularly recommended.

All in all, Geldern and Kleve are perfect destinations for anyone looking for a combination of nature, culture and culinary delights. A travel guide for these two towns is definitely worthwhile!

Habe mich genau an deinen Track gehalten.

Abwechslungsreiche Tour.
