Discover the region

Geographically, Friedland lies on the edge of the Schlaubetal Nature Park and is surrounded by an idyllic river landscape. The landscape here is breathtakingly beautiful and offers countless opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or canoeing.

Friedland also has numerous tourist attractions to offer. Visit the local history museum "Alte Mühle", where you can experience the history of the region up close. Another highlight is the baroque Neuhardenberg Palace with its magnificent gardens and impressive concert hall.

Culturally interested people will be delighted with the many events that take place here - from the traditional Christmas market to the summer concert in the park of Neuhardenberg Palace, there is always something to discover.

If it rains, we recommend a visit to the thermal brine spa in Bad Saarow or the Spreewaldtherme Lübbenau - perfect places to relax whatever the weather!

The culinary offerings in Friedland are also not to be missed: Try local specialities such as the famous Spreewald gherkin or enjoy freshly baked bread from a local bakery.

In autumn, the Schlaubetal valley beckons with its colourful leaves and in winter you can even go ice skating here. The best season for outdoor activities, however, is spring, when everything is in bloom and the temperatures are pleasantly mild.

Overall, Friedland offers a wealth of activities and sights for every taste. Whether you are looking for nature experiences or cultural highlights - you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for in this destination!
