Geographically, Falkenstein/Vogtl. lies on the edge of the Ore Mountains and is part of the "Erzgebirge-Vogtland" nature park. A special highlight are the numerous hiking trails through the picturesque landscape with its forests, rivers and lakes. In winter, the area offers perfect conditions for skiers and snowboarders.

For visitors interested in culture, there is plenty to discover: Voigtsberg Castle from the 13th century impresses with its historical architecture as well as an extensive collection of porcelain exhibits. The town museum also offers an interesting insight into the history of the region.

In terms of culinary delights, Falkenstein/Vogtl. also has a lot to offer: Be sure to try the famous "Vogtlandkuchen" (Vogtland cake) or enjoy hearty specialities such as bratwurst or sauerkraut.

Even if the weather is bad, there are plenty of things to do: How about a visit to the cinema or theatre? Or you can simply relax in one of the many cafés and restaurants.

But where is it most beautiful? Definitely on the Hohe Reuth lookout tower, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Vogtland.
