Discover the region

Engelthal is picturesquely situated at the foot of the Hirschberg and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The region is known for its idyllic hiking trails and cycling tours through forests and fields as well as along the rivers Pegnitz and Schwarzach.

An absolute highlight in Engelthal are the numerous historic buildings such as the St. Josef monastery or the parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with its Baroque altar from the 18th century. The local history museum also offers an insight into the history of the village.

Cultural highlights are also plentiful here: The annual cultural festival attracts visitors from all over the world, while regular concerts, theatre performances and exhibitions take place throughout the year.

For gourmets, there are culinary delights such as the famous "Schlachtschüssel" - a hearty dish of pork, potatoes and sauerkraut - or Franconian beer straight from the barrel.

Even when the weather is bad, there is plenty to do: How about a visit to the indoor swimming pool, for example? Or visit one of the cosy cafés or restaurants for a relaxing afternoon with friends or family?

Spring brings flowering meadows, while summer is perfect for hiking and cycling tours. In autumn you can admire the bright colours of the foliage and in winter a romantic snowy hike is a great option.

No matter what time of year - Engelthal is definitely worth a visit! Let yourself be enchanted by this charming place and experience unforgettable moments in the midst of a breathtaking landscape.
