Geographical location and special features: Ellhofen is situated at the foot of the Löwenstein in the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park. The region is characterised by rolling hills, vineyards and picturesque landscapes. In the surrounding area you will find numerous hiking and cycling trails as well as idyllic places to relax.

Tourist attractions: Visit the 12th century St. Stephen's Church or Ellhofen Castle with its beautiful park. The local history museum gives an insight into the life of people a hundred years ago.

Cultural highlights and events: The annual wine festival attracts many visitors, as does the traditional Advent market on the castle square. Concerts or theatre performances can also be attended.

    Schöne Radtour auf guten Radwegen und verkehrsarmen Nebenstraßen. Habe die Tour in Ellhofen in Gegenrichtung begonnen. Kleines Manko der Tour: Von Neckar und Kocher sieht man nicht sehr viel. Am Neckar fährt man unterhalb des Kanaldamms und der Kocher ist weitgehend durch Büsche und Bäume vom Radweg nicht sichtbar. Fährt man unter der Woche, haben manche Gastronomiebetriebe erst ab 17 Uhr geöffnet.

    Sehr schöne Radtour mit wenig Steigungen. Insgesamt sind es aber 432 Höhenmeter hoch und 432 m hinunter. Die angegebenen 132 m sind die Differenz zwischen höchstem und tiefstem Punkt. Aber es geht nicht nur einmal hinauf. Landschaftlich schön ist es vor dem Breitenauer See bis Friedrichshall (wir starteten dort). ACHTUNG: falsche Wegführung an Ende von Neckarsulm: Man steht vor einem Fahrbahndamm mit Treppen. Hier nach links über den Parkplatz zur Strasse hinauf fahren! Die Openstreetmap Karte ist hier richtig.

    Angenehme Tagestour ohne zu viele Steigungen. Immer wieder schöne "Radautobahnen", die aber auch rege genutzt werden und auf denen somit viel los ist. Vor allem der Abschnitt am Breitenauer See ist an einem Ostermontag, wie heute, nicht zu empfehlen. Aber alles in allem eine sehr schöne Streckenführung, die auch meist gut ausgeschildert ist. Uns hat dieser Ausflug in die 4 Täler viel Spaß gemacht! Vielen Dank für's Erstellen und Pflegen!

    Ich stimme Simone zu. In Neckarsulm ist die Beschilderung nicht gut. Die Bahnunterführung beim Audi-Forum z.B. ist zur Zeit gesperrt. So wie es aussieht auch nicht länger. Landschaftlich lässt die Tour zwischen Breitenauer See und Neckarsulm dann doch sehr nach. Klar, ich habe auch kein Rezept dagegen. Irgendwie muss man halt an den Orten da vorbei.
