Eichigt lies at the foot of the Ore Mountains and is surrounded by picturesque forests. The region is known for its idyllic landscapes with rolling hills and lush meadows. Here you can relax and escape the stress of everyday life.

    Schöner Wanderweg im Dreiländereck. Ein Stern Abzug da die Beschilderung (vorallem zu Beginn der Tour) nicht oder nur schwer zu finden war. Wir haben dann die App-Navigation genutzt, wenn man diese nicht hat, könnte es schwierig werden. Die Artenvielfalt entlang des "Grünen Bandes" hat uns sehr begeistert.

    Leider endet die Etappe im "nirgendwo" im Burgsteingebiet. Tipp: Wenn ihr an der Autobahnbrücke (A72) angekommen seid, geht rechts eine asphaltierte Straße ab. Diese führt euch nach Großzöbern. (ca. 2,5 Km) Hier könnt ihr in der Pension Anders (meine beste Unterkunft auf dem gesamten Kammweg) übernachten. Ruft vorher an, Fam Anders empfängt euch in ihrem Privathaus, die Anzahl der Zimmer ist begrenzt.

    Die Tour ist ähnlich in einem Outdoor Buch beschrieben, allerdings mit Start und Ziel in Hranice und umgekehrt in der Wegrichtung. Wir sind nach Buch gelaufen, also mit dem Uhrzeigersinn. Damit hätten wir das unangenehme Streckenstück an der Straße von Ebmath über die Grenze bis zum neuen Duty free erst kurz vor dem Ziel. Von der Strecke, in Tschechien sehr gut markiert, in Sachsen nur rudimentär mit Radwegeeiserne, waren wir sehr begeistert. Nicht wegen der Wanderqualität, sondern wegen der historischen Bedeutung. Auf tschechischer Seite geht es grenznah über ehemalige "Kolonnenwege", früher asphaltiert, heute eher Schotter zum Rastplatz am Dreiländereck. Sehr beeindruckend, geht es auf sächsischer Seite lange auf einem DDR Kolonnenweg durch das Grüne Band. Eine Schutzhütte voller Zeitungsartikel zur Schleifung von Dörfern und Gehöften 1974 macht sehr nachdenklich. Gut, das es sowas nicht mehr geben wird, hoffentlich.

    Sehr abwechslungsreiche Strecke durch einsame Gegend. Da es im Burgsteingebiet in erlaufbarer Nähe keine Herberge gibt, können wir an dieser Stelle das Hotel Kleeblatt in Hirschberg empfehlen. Zum Service des Hauses gehört für kleines Geld ein Personen- und Gepäcktransfer. Zwei Tage im gleichen Haus sind auch mal ganz schön. Auch die Unterkunft bekommt hier 5 Sterne!

    Als Übernachtung ist der Landgasthof in Süßebach sehr zu empfehlen. Wer die 2km von Eichigt aus nicht auf der Straße zurücklegen möchte, folgt dieser nur ca. 50m in Richtung Süßebach und biegt dann links in den "Höhe" benannten Weg ein (Wandermarkierung gelber Strich). Der Weg führt angenehm durch den Wald und man landet in Süßebach ca. 100m vom Gasthof entfernt.
