Discover the region

Geographically, Dörphof is located between the cities of Eckernförde and Kiel on the Baltic Sea. The region is characterised by its gently rolling landscape of fields, meadows and forests. A special highlight are the numerous lakes around Dörphof.

Most relevant for tourism are the Emkendorf estate with its baroque manor house and the historic windmill in Ascheffel. Cultural highlights include the annual jazz festival in Eckernförde and the Viking museum in Haithabu near Schleswig.

Dörphof also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine: Here you can enjoy fresh fish dishes or try regional specialities such as Labskaus.

The summer is particularly suitable for outdoor activities: hikes along the Baltic Sea beach or bicycle tours through the picturesque landscape can be wonderfully undertaken here. Water sports enthusiasts will also get their money's worth - whether sailing, surfing or stand-up paddling - there is something for everyone here.

If it rains, a visit to the Kunstwerk Carlshütte museum in Rendsburg or even a wellness treatment at the nearby Spa Hotel Birke in Kiel is worthwhile.

But the most beautiful place is the beach in Eckernförde, where you can enjoy the fresh sea air on a walk and let your eyes wander over the sea.

Overall, Dörphof is definitely worth a trip and offers something for everyone. A travel guide for all those who are looking for peace and relaxation or who also want to be active.

Tolle Tour.
