Dippoldiswalde is known for its well-preserved old town with historic buildings such as Weesenstein Castle and the St. Marien town church. The local history museum "Haus des Gastes" is also worth a visit to learn more about the history of the region.

    Eine in weiten Teilen sehr gut ausgeschilderte Wanderung durch Wald, Feld und Flur. Und sollte einmal die Orientierung fehlen, hilft die obige Beschreibung wunderbar und am Ende geht heutzutage auch der GPS Track immer. Die Pilgerrunde führt einen an vielen Zeichen zivilisatorischer Vergangenheit vorbei, sei es Postsäulen, Sühnekreuze oder alten Wegemarkierungen, aber auch Soldatengräbern und anderen Anzeichen des Gedenkens. Für fitte geübte Wanderer sehr gut an einem Tag zu gehen, lässt sich die Wanderung aber auch schön in kleinere Abschnitte teilen, zum Beispiel jeweils von Rabenau und Dippoldiswalde in zwei Rundwege. Es gibt sehr viele Orte zum Verweilen aber auch einfach Zum Rasten findet sich immer eine Bank. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Wanderung. Danke!

    Bin die Tour von Tharandt bis Lehnmühlentalsperre gefahren. Landschaftlich sehr schön, sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Echt super. Beim Wegabschnitt von Tharandt nach Edle Krone sollte man sich überlegen ob man die Straße, den Weg am Fluss oder einen kleinen Umweg über den Meilerplatz fahren möchte. Der Weg am Fluss ist sehr eng mit hohen Brennnesseln, dafür sieht man mit etwas Glück Eisvögel im Fluss. An der Lehnmühlentalsperre war an dem Tag leider der Waldweg wegen Baumarbeiten gesperrt. Ich bin deshalb von dort kurz dem Weg Richtung Rehefeld gefolgt und dann auf den Wanderweg nach Dippoldiswalde abgebogen für die Rückfahrt.

    Ein wunderbarer Rundweg in herrlicher Natur, abwechslungsreich mit schönen Ausblicken, moderaten Anstiegen und schönen Wiesen- und Feldwegen. Wir hätten uns auf dem Wegstück von Ulberndorf bis Reinholdshain eine Ausschilderung und eine Bank bzw. einen Rastplatz gewünscht. Vielleicht ergibt sich das einmal.

    Hat man erst den durchaus steilen Aufstieg von Kipsdorf nach Oberkipsdorf gemeistert, wird man mit einem tollen Blick über die umliegenden Berge und Wälder belohnt. Weiter geht es dann über Felder und durch Wälder. Natur pur. Ein kleiner Abstecher zum Pöbeldamm und weiter geht es in Richtung Schmiedeberg. Eine Tour für alle diejenigen, die es ruhig mögen. Fernab von viel befahrenen Straßen lässt sich die Natur genießen. Dementsprechend laden viele Bänke am Wegesrand zum Verweilen ein. Man ist auch gut beraten, wenn man das Picknick dazu gleich miteinpackt. Das gastronomische Angebot auf dieser Runde ist leider überschaubar. Um von Schmiedeberg wieder zurück nach Kipsdorf zu gelangen, nutzt man am besten die Weißeritztalbahn. Eine Fahrt mit dem Dampfzug ist doch immer etwas Besonderes.
