Denkendorf is located on the edge of the Altmühltal Nature Park and is known for its picturesque 17th century half-timbered houses and Denkendorf Castle. Also be sure to visit the pilgrimage church of Maria Loreto with its impressive baroque architecture or take a walk through the monastery courtyard with its historic buildings.

Eichstätt, on the other hand, is one of the oldest cities in Bavaria and offers numerous sights such as the Eichstätt Cathedral, the Willibaldsburg Museum or the Hofgarten with its breathtaking view of the city. Eichstätt also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try the famous "Eichstätter Knödel" (dumplings) or enjoy a fresh beer in one of the cosy brewery inns.

The Altmühltal Nature Park around Denkendorf is particularly suitable for outdoor activities. Here you can hike, cycle or canoe - depending on the season, there is always something new to discover! In Eichstätt, hiking enthusiasts should definitely go to the famous rock labyrinth near Mörnsheim - a spectacular landscape awaits them here!

If it rains, we recommend a visit to the Jura Museum in Eichstätt or the Archaeological Museum in Denkendorf. Here you can embark on a journey through history and gain interesting insights into the culture of the region.

Whether you are travelling alone or with family and friends - Denkendorf and Eichstätt are definitely worth a visit! We hope that our travel tips will help you with your planning. Have fun discovering these unique places!
