The landscape is characterised by rolling hills, meadows and forests that invite you to take long walks. The town itself has a long history with many historic buildings, including Deilingen Castle from the 17th century.

Tourist attractions: One of the most famous sights in Deilingen is Deilingen Castle with its impressive baroque style. St. Michael's Church is also worth a visit - it dates back to the 11th century and houses many works of art from different eras.

Cultural highlights and events: Cultural events take place regularly in the region, such as concerts or theatre performances in the cultural centre "Alte Kirche". Another highlight are the traditional festivals such as the wine festival or the St. Nicholas market in winter.

Culinary specialities: Swabian cuisine has a lot to offer: Be sure to try Maultaschen (filled dumplings), Spätzle (a type of noodle) or Zwiebelrostbraten (a juicy steak). This goes perfectly with a glass of regional wine or beer.

Outdoor activities: The surroundings of Deilingen offer many opportunities for outdoor activities. In summer you can go hiking, cycling or horseback riding and in winter there are numerous ski resorts nearby. A hike along the Donauberglandweg trail with its spectacular views of the countryside is particularly beautiful.

Best seasons and places to do outdoor activities: The best time for outdoor activities in Deilingen are the months of May to September. The best places for hiking are the Donauberglandweg, the nature reserve "Heuberg-Allmend" and the premium hiking trail "Hegauer Kegelspiel". For skiing, the nearby Feldberg ski area is particularly suitable.

What to do if it rains: Even if it rains, there is plenty to do in Deilingen: Visit one of the museums such as the local history museum or the castle museum. Or simply relax in a cosy café and enjoy a hot cocoa or tea.

Where it's most beautiful: The view from the tower of Deilingen Castle is particularly beautiful - here you have a breathtaking view over the town and the surrounding countryside. Another beautiful place is the Upper Danube Nature Park with its impressive gorge landscape.
