Geographical location and special features: Caaschwitz is a small village near Greiz and lies on the banks of the river Weiße Elster. The region is known for its picturesque landscapes with rolling hills and forests as well as numerous lakes and rivers. Here you can experience unspoilt nature and relax from everyday life.

Tourist attractions: Visit Greiz Castle, an impressive Baroque residence from the 18th century with a rich collection of historical furniture. The Göltzschtal Bridge should also be on your list - it is the largest brick bridge in the world! In the surrounding area you will also find many churches, museums and other historic buildings.

Cultural highlights and events: Greiz has a lively cultural life with many festivals, concerts and theatre performances throughout the year. The summer theatre in the courtyard garden or the park-and-castle festival are just a few examples.

Culinary specialities: Try regional specialities such as Thuringian dumplings or Rostbratwurst at local restaurants or visit a farm shop for fresh fruit & vegetables and homemade jams.

Outdoor activities: The area is ideal for walking and cycling, especially in spring and summer. The Elster cycle path runs through the region and offers beautiful views of the river. In winter you can go skiing or snowboarding near Klingenthal.

What to do if it rains? If the weather doesn't cooperate, there are still plenty of indoor activities such as museum visits or a visit to the Waikiki leisure pool in Zeulenroda-Triebes.

Where is the most beautiful? Visit the Hofgarten Greiz with its picturesque lakes and old trees - here you can take a walk or just relax. The Hirschfeld Zoo is also a popular destination for families.

Summary: Caaschwitz, Greiz has a lot to offer - from historical sights to outdoor adventures. The area is perfect for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Let yourself be enchanted by this charming region!
