Geographically, Butzbach is located between Frankfurt am Main and Gießen. The town is surrounded by idyllic countryside that is perfect for hiking or cycling. It is particularly beautiful here in spring and summer when everything is green and in bloom.

Butzbach has a long history with many historical sights such as Butzbach Castle or the collegiate church of St. Fides. Another highlight are the well-preserved medieval town walls with their towers and gates.

Culturally, Butzbach has much to offer: The town's museum shows interesting exhibitions on local history, while the Capitol cinema presents a wide range of films. Music lovers should not miss the Jazzclub Mampf - national and international artists perform here regularly.

You can also experience a lot in Butzbach from a culinary point of view: Try local specialities such as Handkäs' mit Musik (a sour cheese) or apple wine (a type of cider). The numerous restaurants also offer international dishes - there is something for every taste!

For outdoor activities there are many possibilities around Butzbach: In summer you can go swimming in the outdoor pool "Am Hallenbad" or take a canoe trip on the Wetter. In winter, the ice rink on the market square invites you to go ice skating. If it rains, we recommend a visit to the indoor swimming pool or a tour of Butzbach Castle.

Where is it most beautiful in Butzbach? That's hard to say - every place has its own charm. However, we recommend a walk through the historic old town with its half-timbered houses and narrow streets, as well as climbing the tower of the collegiate church for a breathtaking view over the town.

Overall, Butzbach is definitely worth a trip: the combination of history, nature and culinary delights makes this town a perfect destination for all kinds of travellers.
