Burgstetten lies at the foot of the Swabian Forest and is surrounded by picturesque countryside. The region is known for its idyllic hiking trails along the Murr and Bottwar rivers and through green fields and wooded hills. A special highlight here are the vineyards around the district of Hößlinsülz - a truly beautiful sight at any time of year.

The community also has a rich history to show: Roman excavation sites such as the Biriciana fort or the Welzheim Roman Museum are located nearby. Another interesting sight is Neuenstadt Castle with its magnificent baroque garden.

Culture enthusiasts should make a detour to the Burgstetten Art Association, where regularly changing exhibitions of contemporary art are shown. Music lovers also get their money's worth: In summer, numerous open-air concerts take place, including at the traditional wine festival in Steinheim an der Murr.

For gourmets, there are some regional specialities to try in Burgstetten: How about a hearty "Maultaschenpfanne" or a delicious "Zwiebelrostbraten"? The restaurants and inns in the region offer a variety of culinary delights.

Those who enjoy sports can be active here all year round: In summer, nature beckons for hiking, cycling or swimming in the Burgstetten outdoor pool. In winter, on the other hand, there is the opportunity to go skiing on the nearby slopes of the Swabian Forest.

Even in rainy weather, there is plenty to do in Burgstetten: The Welzheim indoor swimming pool invites you to swim and relax, while culture enthusiasts can learn more about Roman history at the Limes Museum in Aalen.

So Burgstetten is definitely worth a visit - whether for a day trip or as a longer holiday destination. Here, every visitor will find something to their liking and can enjoy the beauty of this idyllic landscape.

Einkehrtipp: Taverna to Beles am Stadion in Backnang.
