Discover the region

Geographically, Böllen lies between the rivers Wiese and Kander and is surrounded by rolling hills. The region is known for its picturesque landscapes with dense forests, lush pastures and crystal clear lakes. There are many hiking trails around the village that will take you to breathtaking viewpoints.

Böllen has a long history as a trading centre for the region and there are several historic buildings to visit such as St. Nicholas Church or Rötteln Castle. For art lovers, we recommend a visit to the Burghof Museum in Lörrach or the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.

When it comes to culinary experiences, be sure to try the local cuisine: From hearty Black Forest ham to sweet treats such as the famous "Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte", your palate will surely be spoiled!

In summer, you can look forward to outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or swimming - the nearby Titisee in particular offers welcome cooling on hot days. In winter, the Black Forest with its numerous ski areas is a great place for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

But even if it rains, there is plenty to discover in Böllen and the surrounding area. For example, visit the Laguna Badeland fun pool or the Caracalla Therme in Baden-Baden for a relaxing day in the water. Or take a tour of the impressive Stollenwelt show mine in Neubulach, where you can learn more about the history of mining.

In summary, Böllen is a destination that is definitely worth a visit - with its picturesque landscape, historic buildings, culinary delights and a variety of outdoor activities, everyone will find something to enjoy here!
