    Von Merklingen Bahnhof mit Bus nach Merklingen Rathaus. Von dort gestartet. Schöne Wegführung durch das Lange Tal, zum Hübschen Stein, dann weiter durch das Kleine Lautertal. Hier blühten auf den schattigen südlichen Hängen sehr zahlreiche Märzenbecher. Auch Seidelbast haben wir entdeckt. Unter der Pischek-Brücke durch kommt man nach Lauter, wo sich der Lauterursprung befindet. Leider im Track nicht eingezeichnet. Anschließend sehr steil hinauf auf die Albhochfläche. Danach ist die Wegführung schlecht. Die Wege laut GPS sind kaum erkennbar und überwachsen. Bis Asch und dann weiter zu den Hessenhöfen nur "Bauernschnellwege", nicht wirklich prickelnd. Der Abstieg danach nach Blaubeuren, wieder interessant. Falls einer den Track nachwandern möchte, Empfehlung: in Lauter weiter nach Herrlingen oder Blaustein und von dort mit Bus oder Bahn weiter.

    Top-Trail, der sehr abwechslungsreich ist. Manchmal braucht man etwas Spürsinn für die Wege, allerdings lassen sich die kleineren Wege problemlos auf markierten in der direkten Umgebung umgehen (wenn man das möchte). Aktuell ist leider der Blautopf gesperrt. Man läuft soweit runter, bis man vor einem Bauzaun steht, gleicher Weghaben zurück, kurzes Stück über die Straße laufen und dann weiter wie im Track hinterlegt.

    Tolle Tour über wirklich grandiose Pfade! Auch jetzt im Winter gut zu gehen, wir hatten tollen Sonnenschein und es lag kein Schnee (könnte sonst ziemlich tricky werden). Die Höhlen waren geschlossen, aber dafür war auch wirklich nix los - ganz viel Ruhe und ein paar Rehe.

    Wir sind die Tour in entgegengesetzter Richtung gefahren, was mit den Ebikes kein Problem war. So hatten wir bei gutem Wetter die längere Tour und dann am nächsten Tag, an dem Regen angesagt war, nur noch 50 km zu fahren. Ich bin von der Tour schwer beeindruckt. Landschaftlich sehr schön der ehemalige Truppenübungsplatz und das Tiefental. Am zweiten Tag geht es ein gutes Stück der Donau entlang auf dem Donauradweg. Danach durchs wildromantische Wolfstal und dann durchs Tal der Lauter, bevor es durch den Wald bergauf zurück nach Münsingen geht. Ich bin selten eine so schöne Tour gefahren.
