Berga/Elster is located at the foot of the Ore Mountains and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The town itself has a rich history and is known for its well-preserved medieval buildings such as Burgk Castle or St. Mary's Church. Another highlight of the town is the Elsterradweg, a popular cycle path along the river Elster.

In Greiz, on the other hand, you can experience the charm of a small German town. The town is often called the "Pearl of the Vogtland" and impresses with its architecture from different eras as well as the magnificent Greiz Residence Palace. Here you will also find numerous museums such as the Museum of Natural History or the Textile Museum.

For cultural highlights, both towns offer many possibilities: In Berga/Elster, there are regular concerts in the Marienkirche church, while in Greiz there are theatre performances in the summer theatre. Both towns also have a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights - be sure to try the regionally famous specialities such as Thuringian Rostbratwurst or Vogtländischer Plauener Spitzen-Kuchen.

Outdoor lovers can also get their money's worth here: Hike through the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park or explore the idyllic Forest and Meadow Trail near Greiz. In winter, you can ski in the surrounding ski areas such as the Aschberg or the Kuhberg.

Should the weather not cooperate, there are also indoor activities: For example, visit the Thuringian Porcelain Route or take a guided tour of Burgk Castle.

Overall, Berga/Elster and Greiz is a destination that has something for everyone - whether cultural highlights, culinary discoveries or outdoor adventures. Let this travel guide inspire you and discover this beautiful region of Germany for yourself!

Sehr tolle Tour. Doch nun genug geschwafelt. Schaut euch doch einfach das Video an. Wir waren trotz der Kritikpunkte voll begeistert.
