Bad Köstritz is known for its healing springs and the famous mineral water "Köstritzer Schwarzbier". A visit to the spa park or the thermal bath is a must for anyone who wants to relax. Bad Köstritz also has a lot to offer culturally: Tinzendorf Castle with its magnificent garden and the "Alte Brauerei" museum are popular attractions.

Greiz, on the other hand, impresses with its historic town centre with its numerous half-timbered houses and the majestic Greiz Castle. Concerts, theatre performances and exhibitions are held here regularly. Those who like to be active can explore nature on the many hiking and cycling trails around the town.

For culinary delights, traditional restaurants in both towns offer regional specialities such as Thuringian grilled sausage or homemade apple pie.

There are also plenty of options when the weather is bad: In Bad Köstritz, the "Scala" cinema beckons, while in Greiz you can discover exciting celestial phenomena in the planetarium.

It is particularly beautiful here in spring when the fruit trees are in blossom or in autumn when the leaves turn colourful. The months of May to September are particularly suitable for outdoor activities, when the weather is at its best. Hikes through the Thuringian Forest or along the White Elster River offer unforgettable views.

Overall, Bad Köstritz and Greiz are definitely worth a trip and a perfect destination for anyone who longs for a mix of culture, nature and relaxation. This travel guide offers you comprehensive information on the tourist highlights of both towns as well as tips for activities in the surrounding area - let yourself be inspired!
