Bad Heilbrunn is picturesquely situated at the foot of the Bavarian Alps and offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or skiing. A walk through the spa park with its numerous plant and animal species as well as a beautiful lake is especially recommended. If it rains, you can visit the local museum or relax in one of the many cosy cafés.

Slightly further south is the town of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, famous for its traditional 18th century architecture and the annual Leonhardifest - a folk festival in honour of the patron saint of horses. The town also has many cultural highlights such as the puppet theatre or the Isar-Amper Jazz Festival.

But what would a trip to Bavaria be without the culinary delights? Be sure to try the regional specialities such as Weißwurst mit Brezn (white sausage with pretzel), Schweinshaxe (pork knuckle) or apple strudel.

In summer there are many opportunities for swimming at the lakes or rivers in the area as well as boat trips on Lake Starnberg. In winter, the surrounding mountains invite you to go skiing and snowboarding.

Bad Heilbrunn and Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen are worth a trip all year round. Visit these charming towns for an unforgettable holiday in Bavaria.

    Landschaftlich tolle Runde wobei das Wetter natürlich eine große Rolle spielt. Zwei Infos zur Tour: Die letzten ca. 10 km im Engtal sind mautpflichtig, derzeit 5 Euro pro Motorrad, lohnt aber auf jeden Fall. Die Strecke ab Wallgau bis Vorderriss ist ebenfalls mautpflichtig mit derzeit 6 Euro pro Motorrad. Außerdem ist die Kesselbergstrasse zwischen Kochel am See in Richtung Walchensee täglich zwischen 15.00 und 22.00 Uhr für Motorräder gesperrt. In der Gegenrichtung gibt es keine Beschränkung. Daher würde ich die Tour in Gegenrichtung fahren, um nicht in Zeitnot zu geraten. Gefahren am 19.6.2026 mit der Vespa in Gegenrichtung.

Geklettert wird auf Sandstein, die Hakenabstände sind eher weit und erfordern eine solide Vorstiegsmoral, die Umlenker sind zeitgemäß, aber nicht immer mit Ketten verbunden (dann beide Ringe fädeln!).     95 % schmale kleine Asphaltstraßen mit kaum Verkehr. Wenn an Bundesstraß geführt, dann mit Radweg, der auch die Bundesstraße per Unterführung quert. An der Nord-Ost-Ecke des als Dreieck gedachten Tour gibt es einen sehr schönen Badesee. Die Tour ist super durchdacht geführt, Landschaft und Ausblick an manchen Höhen atemberaubend. Wir starteten am Kloster Benedikt-Beuern; dort ist auch eine Bahnstation der Werdenfelser Bahn: man kann von München aus locker mit der Bahn dorthin kommen und von dort losradeln.

    Klasse Runde, nur schade, das bei km 7,5 die asphaltierte Strecke verlassen wird und für 2 km ein Feldweg durch den Wald befahren wird. Warum eigentlich, die asphaltierte Straße geht geradeaus weiter und trifft mit dem Feldweg wieder zusammen? Man könnte also ohne Not auf der asphaltierten Straße weiterfahren. Nach der Tour ist eine Einkehr im Cafe Lugauer oder in Otti`s Cafe Pflicht.
