Bad Breisig is a popular spa town with thermal springs that have been used for centuries. Here you can relax and unwind or take a stroll through the historic spa gardens. The town also offers a variety of cultural highlights such as the Rhine Museum or Arenfels Castle.

Ahrweiler also has a lot to offer: Discover the medieval old town with its narrow streets and old half-timbered houses as well as the impressive town wall from the 13th century. Also visit the wine festival in September or try local specialities such as "Ahrtaler Spitzkohl" in one of the many restaurants.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are many opportunities for active leisure activities: hiking along the Red Wine Trail, cycling on the Ahr Cycle Path or canoeing on the Ahr - everything is possible! In the warm summer months, the beaches on the banks of the Rhine also invite you to sunbathe.

And even if the weather is bad, you don't have to miss out on activities: Why not visit one of the museums in the region or enjoy a wine tasting in a cosy vinotheque.

All in all, Bad Breisig and Ahrweiler are definitely worth a visit and a perfect destination for anyone who loves culture, history and nature. Let yourself be enchanted by this charming place and discover its beauty for yourself!

Took the Vulkan Express up to Engeln and rode down to the Rhine then back to Brohl train station. Super fun route with enough uphill to make you feel like you deserve all the downhill! Recommended stops at tower and lake were awesome. Thanks for creating and posting.

Because the hike is marked as premium and we’ve already have made beautiful hikes, our expectations were high. The hike is absolutely beautiful but not exceptional. For one mile one can hear the highway. Still we recommend.
